About

Following graduation from Glasgow School of Art where he obtained a Diploma in Murals and Stained Glass Design,

Andy went on to spend a couple of years in the Town Art Dept of Livingston Development Corporation before securing his then dream job, training as an Assistant Designer at Thames Television in London.

Since returning home to Scotland, Andy has enjoyed a varied career working on many feature film and television productions in locations ranging from the Outer Hebrides to Europe, Africa and the US. From low budget projects to high-end productions and everything in between, Andy has enjoyed working with directors such as Bill Forsyth, Terence Davies, Hugh Hudson, Michael Caton Jones and Gillies Mackinnon

Glasgow School of Art – Sam Mavor Travelling Scholarship.

Glasgow Film Office – Production Award in 2000.

2006 Bafta Scotland- Craft Award for Outstanding contribution to Film & TV.

1999 Genie Award, Nominee -Best Achievement in Art Direction and Production Design for Regeneration (Behind the Lines, US title).
